Look, life has been hard lately. I'm feeling the weight of raising children during a pandemic as national tragedies unfold around me. At the same time, I am called to be fully present in my work as a psychotherapist. In recent play therapy workshops that I have given, I've been using metaphors as tools to explore the self.
I've discovered that some exercises are powerful self-exploration tools that help bolster the I-Self (or I-Soul) connection that forms the basis of the I-Thou relationship we seek in our work with clients.
In this workshop, we will explore fairytale features, poetry, and short literature as prompts for expressive arts exercises that will invite us to explore, discover, and incorporate our unique strengths.
We will explore the light and shadow of deeper aspects of the self.
This workshop is an invitation to find and sit in the center of our truths and experience the wonder in our simply being--even as the world denies the wonder within us, others, and the world around us.
I hope you will join me.
No CEs will be given. This workshop is designed for experiential and artistic self-care.
